Alex Seitz
Storyteller

Alex Seitz is into a little bit of everything. “When you grow up on the sparsely treed and populated North Dakota prairie, you learn to keep busy or you freeze to death,” Alex says with a laugh.

From law to live music, backcountry skiing to pond hockey, his public relations skills stem from an unconventional mix of scholarship and life experience.

Alex holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. and a juris doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. He served time in the Minnesota Attorney General’s office before sidelining the practice of law for one of his true passions:  music. Alex was a publicist for local music label Red House Records before joining Haberman in 2006.

Alex works on both business-to-business and consumer accounts, flexing his viral-video production and account management skills for the offbeat CodeWeavers “Great American Lame Duck Presidential Challenge” and Dimension’s “Extreme Redesign” campaign. He also has produced notable U.S. Pond Hockey Championships videos starring Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and NHL legend Tom Chorske, as well as an ESPN ad.

Far from the desolate wilds of North Dakota, Alex has competed for the U.S. Bandy team at World Championships in Hungary, Russia and Sweden, proving that Phil Jackson, Roger Maris and Lawrence Welk aren’t the only international superstars (nor bubble machine owners) to hail from the Peace Garden State.

Alex lives in St. Paul with the head of his household, a wiry German shorthaired pointer, Earl. Alex enjoys tracking down good-but-hidden live music, film, food and dog parks. Despite multiple sports-related concussions, he’s one smart dude who has put his creative mark on some of Haberman’s best tongue-and-cheek campaigns.
