When we think of Wabasha, Minnesota, we don’t think of Grumpy Old Men, we think of smiley-faced Amanda Arens, our talented agency partner and head of operations. The business of Haberman would grind to a screeching halt without Amanda’s steel-trap brain and her penchant for procedural whip cracking, so it’s good to know she’s not holed up in an icehouse on Lake Pepin all winter long.

Amanda’s hard-nosed, yet undeniably pleasant demeanor makes her the perfect den mother for an office full of dream-chasing creative types. In fact, Amanda’s passion for bringing together people with differing viewpoints and helping them communicate through mutual respect and understanding comes in handy while wrangling the various and sundry free spirits at Haberman.

Amanda brings a wealth of diverse account expertise and masterful strategic counsel to the firm, a holdover from her days as a journalist with the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal and Corporate Report. Amanda honed her management skills to a sharp point while overseeing some of Haberman’s most prominent accounts, including Stellent, Community Reinvestment Fund, USA, Matthew Sanford and Carol.com.

Amanda graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell College with a bachelor’s degree in English. True to her roots on the shores of the mighty Mississippi, Amanda enjoys fishing, boating and camping. During ice fishing season, she always forsakes the power auger for an old-school ice chisel. Because to Amanda, anything worth doing is worth doing well…and worth getting blisters and frostbite. After all, it’s the “Wabasha Way.”
