Community heroes making it better.
Community Health. What does it take to make it better? That's the story Haberman told for Minnesota Department of Health in partnership with the City of Minneapolis and Olmstead County. Print, radio and web communications featured local efforts that provide better access to healthier foods and physical activity. In October, the Making it Better Challenge asked community members to share their stories for weekly prizes.
Results:
- Documented twelve stories of community members "making it better"
- Launched and administered the Making it Better Challenge that collected more than 100 stories. Entrants received nearly 3,000 "thumbs up" votes online.
- Media coverage include Rochester Women magazine and MinnPost.com
