The Dude Ranch
Haberman's Organic Garden

Dude Ranch

Forty-five minutes west of Haberman headquarters, nestled in the lush flatlands of gracious and growing Delano, Minnesota, is a big piece of the Haberman soul: the Dude Ranch – Haberman’s very own organic garden.

Named after our totemic storytelling icon, the Dude, and based on a community supported agriculture (CSA) model, Dude Ranch is a working garden.

Haberman staffers – along with a few experienced gardeners – will spend spring, summer and fall planting, tending and harvesting their own produce. It's fulfilling work, both in body and spirit. And, it's Haberman's way of following our own passion for health and wellness, sustainable agriculture and increased accessibility to natural, organic foods.

Part experiment, part education, part employee benefit – and all passion – the garden includes a sampling of fresh tomatoes, onions, potatoes, peppers, peas, green beans, herbs and plenty more for Haberman employees and those in need throughout the Twin Cities.

Why have the storytellers planted their potatoes in tire rims? Is that a giant “H” of marigolds in the middle of the garden or am I seeing things? What is Seed Savers? Find the answers to these questions and many more as the storytellers embark on their own gardening adventure.
