As Haberman’s legendary “tall tale,” Jessica Snell’s approach to storytelling is always a view from the top. At nearly six feet tall, Jess has developed a hawk-like eye for the smallest and most compelling minor details of the stories laid out before her, crafting unique pitch angles, news releases and creative marketing ideas for every client on her roster.
A proud Wayzata, Minn. native, Jess honed her communication skills at local nonprofits, including Friends of the Orphans and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities. At Haberman, she has distinguished herself by representing the work of pioneering documentaries like “FRESH,” “Big River,” and “Truck Farm” - featuring a beat-up Dodge pickup with an organic garden planted in the bed. Jess took a hands-on approach to this pitch – literally – by working with New York City broadcast media to dig in the dirt and sample the Truck Farm’s produce.
Whether she’s stomping through villages of clients’ competitors or reaching for the stars, Jess takes a sensible, back-to-basics approach to everything she endeavors. “Making life-balance a priority is important to me. Too much of anything will distract your focus,” she says. Her disdain for negativity coupled with her tireless commitment to the greater good proves Jess knows what’s important – in the modern storytelling business as well as life itself.
When she’s not putting in a long, productive day at the office, Jess coaches youth volleyball, gets lost in the Isle Royale wilderness (hard to do when you can see above the trees) and enjoys leaping the Twin Cities’ tallest buildings in a single bound. Not your average mutant dinosaur, Jess’ larger-than-life personality is only matched by her monster communications talent.
