We seek a digital intern with an interest and aptitude to focus on Programming and Development as related to our digital campaigns and clients. This individual must have some familiarity with interactive marketing and be interested in supporting a variety of interactive activities. This individual should be a so-called “tech geek” with at least basic programming skills coupled with an intense curiosity and a quick aptitude for picking up technology and determining how they might fit for our clients.
This individual will work directly with the agency’s digital account teams to develop creative and effective campaigns/strategies that benefit our clients and our world. Some of our current campaign themes include promoting urban agriculture and encouraging the next generation of philanthropists.
<li>Program Facebook tabs based on designs created by the agency creative department</li>
<li>Enhance existing websites; troubleshoot and resolve reported issues</li>
<li>Assist in the creation of websites from design specifications within established frameworks</li>
<li>Partner with internal and external clients to deliver high-quality technical solutions</li>
<li>Set-up social media channels for clients (e.g. background images, etc.)</li>
<li>Monitor and apply industry best practices in all development activities</li>
<li>Basic understanding of website development tools and technologies</li>
<li>Basic understanding of CMS implementation (WordPress or Drupal) a plus</li>
<li>Knowledge of Facebook and / or Twitter API a strong plus</li>
<li>Knowledge of user interface design principles as it relates to web applications, ecommerce and or email marketing</li>
<li>Solution orientated – ability to solve problems and think creatively and proactively about technical solutions</li>
<li>Basic understanding of web usability, interaction design and information architecture</li>
<li>Detail and time management oriented</li>
<li>Strong desire to be self-taught, adaptable and a bent towards ongoing professional development</li>
