Volvo Cars of North America

Together with Volvo’s PR department and production partner, Fitzgerald Brunetti, Inc., Haberman & Associates has conducted award-winning campaigns for Volvo’s 75th Anniversary in Times Square (“Product Brand Development Campaign of the Year,” 2003 PRWeek Awards, and “Best Media Event,” 2002 PR News Platinum Awards) and the Volvo for life Awards in Times Square (“Best Media Event,” 2004 PR News Platinum Award). In addition, group created and publicized the Volvo Drive for life Days, one of the nation’s largest-ever, grassroots fundraising efforts, generating funds for nearly 100 local charities and Alex’s Lemonade Stand for Pediatric Cancer Research.

Haberman & Associates worked with Volvo to conduct promotional events and a public relations campaign for the U.S. launch of Volvo’s Your Concept Car, the first car designed and developed almost exclusively by women. The campaign, hailed the “PR coup of the New York Auto Show” by the New York Times, garnered more than 750 million media impressions and coverage in almost every major national consumer print and TV outlet and in hundreds of local outlets.

In addition, in 2005 Haberman & Associates publicized Volvo's first-ever Super Bowl ad to introduce its V8-powered Volvo XC90 SUV. The company's Boldly Go campaign featured Richard Branson, chairmain of the Virgin Group of Companies, and a nationwide contest for a seat on a commercial flight to space on Virgin Galactic, one of the world's first commercial space tourism operators.
