Who knows what brings people together. Fate? Random chance? Sub-molecular magnetism? At Haberman & Associates, it's love of the authentic, pioneering story and dogged commitment to pursue meaningful work.

Like Our Clients, We Are Pioneers
Haberman & Associates opened in 1996, but the company began long before then, when Fred Haberman and Sarah Bell fell in love at the University of Wisconsin.

After graduation, their mutual desire to travel the world propelled them to far-flung places, like Kazakhstan to open the first American office-products retail store and remote regions of Nepal and Canada for their adventure travel company, Simply Wilderness.

Later, back in the U.S. and inspired by the explosion of the Internet, Fred and Sarah tried their hand at organizational development consulting. Despite helping others connect their personal passions with their work, they longed to create their own company, capitalize on their life experience and skills, and make a larger global impact.

Epiphany
Fred, a sales guy who could write, and Sarah, a marketing gal with heart, realized that they are modern storytellers, eager to tell the stories of pioneers making the world a better place or changing the way business is done.

With newfound clarity, Fred and Sarah opened Haberman & Associates in their two-bedroom house. Clients met at the dining room table, under the watchful eye of Meow-Meow the cat.

Over time, the Habermans added more storytellers: a member of a rock band, a storytelling champion and a former radio DJ. Soon, more storytellers joined the group, all of them seasoned marketing and public relations pros longing for meaningful work.

Passion Over Reason
Today, the modern storytellers are resolute in their mission, planning and executing public relations, media and marketing campaigns that feed their personal passions, inspire others to take action and make the world a better place.

Their clients' life-changing technologies, sustainable lifestyle products, breakthrough business ideas, heroes, and catalysts for social change and healing make headlines.

Most importantly, the modern storytellers have learned a valuable lesson: when you follow your passion, whatever you do, you will succeed.
