Though he hails from the self-proclaimed “Video Game Capital of the World” in Ottumwa, Iowa, Troy Swope is anything but a couch potato. In fact, Troy’s passion for fitness and the outdoors led him to accomplish a feat that would have made most people cringe – he biked across the U.S., from Seattle to New Jersey, when he was just 22 years old.
Troy is a production artist at Haberman, which means he possesses a veritable “Swiss Army Knife” of design, layout and pre-press support for the firm’s creative services group. He’s the guy who gets to put the finishing touches on the pretty pictures that make Haberman clients ooh and aah with delight.
Prior to joining the tribe, Troy worked as a senior production artist at Minneapolis-based BDM, where he helped the agency’s creative team win prominent accounts like United Airlines and Dell Computer. Troy also honed his razor-sharp skills at Rapp Collins and Fallon Worldwide, where he received an MVP award from the agency’s flagship client, Citi, for building 120 out-of-home ads in four days. Talk about endurance!
Troy is a graduate of the University of Iowa and Brown College. When he’s not beautifying the creative process, doing calisthenics or playing tennis (his USTA ranking is #137, for those keeping score at home), Troy stays active by corralling his three sons and doting on his wife, Bridget.
